The Roof

For us, embracing the Summer this year means later bed times  and it means making much of the roof of our apartment, which is our “yard”. We share the space with our great neighbors, but otherwise it is pretty much private and not visible and that makes it quite a haven for us.  Jeremy’s resourcefulness and green thumb has made for lots of green and flowers.  Our little grape arbor planted in a salvaged water tank has been growing bit by bit, though no grapes yet. But the main event this Summer is the pool.  We found it in the capitol, gave it some thought, and decided it would be a good way to stay cool and make some memories.  Jeremy found an unused drink refrigerator owned by our landlord’s shop and got permission to use it, filling it with cool sodas and juices.  Sweltering Summer ahead? Bring it.
