One Sweet Year

Our delightful Evan turned one this past week and we made sure to celebrate well. We visited his Bedouin friends in their home, twins who were born just a few hours after Evan (their mother and I even shared the same due date).  We had tea and ate cupcakes while the kids ran and crawled around, singing songs and being silly.  The next evening, we celebrated again with friends on the roof, a strawberry cake (we barely caught the last ones of their short season – Evan loves them), swimming and enjoying a summer evening until well after lanterns lit our conversation in the dark.  Evan loved the activity and played hard.  We have totally savored this little one’s first year.  He has an easy smile and a natural way with people.  He brings so much joy.  We can’t get enough of you, Evan Boaz.
