May and Keeping Busy

The weather turns from cool to quite hot in a blink here it seems.  The heat often comes with odd, dusty weather famous for May.  We air out our winter bedding, pull out the fans, and start drinking a lot of limona’na.  Caleb is preparing for the new baby by taking extra care of his stuffed animals, even administering acupuncture to his Froggy.  (Froggy reports relief of sinus congestion and joint pain).  We’re enjoying our roof with neighbors and even had a “Race for Omi” one evening as a family, the proceeds going to chocolate for Omi’s surgery recovery.   Since Easter happens about a month later here, we dyed eggs last week with Caleb’s beloved friend Elias and had a true Easter Egg hunt Sunday morning.  We are savoring the creativity, helpfulness, and plain fun energy Caleb brings.
