Savoring the last of Spring

Now that we know Spring passes so quickly here, we feel ready to savor each chance to enjoy local beauty.  We returned to a wadi camping spot for the weekend with a great group of friends. We loved the way the flowers had completely changed over the last month and showed Caleb how hummingbirds do their magic.  Our group was very international and mostly from the Middle East and we learned a lot from them about enjoying the outdoors – we had such a blast.  We did plenty of hiking and singing.  We ate delicious BBQ kebabs long after sunset. We came home to a town filled with classic May dust.  Dust whipping through the market in windy gusts and dust actually falling in raindrops…there is nothing quite like it.
